Dr. Viktor Bishop
Dr. Viktor Bishop. 35.
Bi-polar. OCD.
Viktor had always been slightly crazy and obsessive. As a child he used to perform weird experiments on anything or anyone he could. He just wanted to see how things and people worked and what else he could make them do. His parents were afraid of him and they still are, but they sent him off to live with his equally crazy grandfather. He went on to become a doctor, which he benefited from, because he now had a license to do the experiments he wanted as well as helping people.

The Worst I’ve Been│Dr.Viktor & Millie

His eyes looked at the file he was about to open, but then he put it down. Leaning forwards on his desk. “Well then. Why don’t you tell me what it can’t?” he said with a smile. Viktor wasn’t going to force her to tell him anything, this wasn’t a scheduled session. So it was completely up to her if she said anything at all.

Leaning back in his chair, picking up his travel mug of coffee that was still on his desk and taking a sip. Looking at her and waiting for her to begin talking, if she even was going to.

“Feel free to read it.” She shrugged. “I’m really scared of clowns.” Millie’s voice was layered with her regular sarcasm, even though she was serious. “It depends on what it says about me.” She prompted, hoping that he would tell her. Being stared at made her feel uncomfortable.

“What?” Millie said flatly, fidgeting with the string on her jacket. The realization that all of the voices had suddenly disappeared made Millie feel off. Were they planning the perfect time to set her off again? Was a hallucination waiting for her? This thought made Millie’s breathing become nervous again.

He leans forward and picks up the file, looking through it. Making a polite comment about her fear of clowns, “So am I. Can’t stand the blasted things.” After reading it, he put it back down. Finally noticing that she was getting nervous again.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you nervous. If you don’t want to talk about it, then we don’t have to. You can leave and go back to your room, if you want.” He wanted to have the patients like him, he didn’t want them to be completely afraid of him. Even though he wanted to find out how they all worked.

Viktor wasn’t really taken back by her complete change of character. It was common for most bi-polar people, like himself. So it seemed obvious that that might be one of her diagnosis. Nodding to her and motioning down the hall, walking to one of the doors near the end.

Walking in and over to the water cooler, getting her a cup of water before going to his desk. Searching through the files he had all over it, really wanting to fix everything but putting it on hold for her. Sitting in his chair and nodding to the chair in front of it. “Please. Sit.”

Millie followed, him to his office. She hesitated for a second than sat down. A vanilla folder with ‘Mildred Marie Lindle’ written on the tab caught her eye. Her eyebrows raised instantly. “I can tell you more than that can.” She snorted in distaste, repressing the urge to roll her eyes.

“So..” She sighed after a minute. Millie knew she could tell him more, but that wasn’t her intention. Regardless, she kind of wanted to know what was said about her in the file. Her impatience wasn’t really high, but Millie crossed her arms as if it was.

His eyes looked at the file he was about to open, but then he put it down. Leaning forwards on his desk. “Well then. Why don’t you tell me what it can’t?” he said with a smile. His head tilted to the side as he watched her, she seemed to be arguing with herself and that slightly worried him. Her file would definitely be one of the first ones he reads. Keeping his arm behind her, just in case she lost her footing again.

Viktor pretty much felt the change in her mood, but he was thankful that she wasn’t crying anymore. Chuckling softly at the tone in her voice and shaking his head, “No, no. Not unless you want one. I’m just simply offering a glass of water and a place where you can calm your nerves.”

“Well, I’ve been skipping therapy since I got here. So I might as well..” She confessed. Only certain sessions were required, but she had never been and didn’t intend to start. Millie stepped aside a little. “Feel free to lead the way.” She said sarcastically.

Millie had no real intention of letting the Doctor know the truth, or at least not all of it. It was important she continued with the vulnerable, that he seemed to be so easily falling for.  Her manipulative side was now in control, planning and watching her every move. Putting up the perfect charade.

Viktor’s brows furrowed at her words and then when she screamed again. Slowly making his assumptions about the girl. He of course he wouldn’t know until he read her file or until they had a session.

As she stopped and stood up, standing up with her. Putting his arms out so she didn’t fall, helping her keep steady. “You sure? My office is right down the hall. We can go there, get you some water.”

“Don’t Millie..” Asher’s voice broke through the silence in her head. He wasn’t angry like Clockwork, but was warning and gentle. “I need to.” She whispered, looking at the ground. When Asher fell silent, Millie looked back up at Dr.Bishop. His eyes were judgmental, but his face seemed concerned.

Millie’s instincts kicked in, she could almost feel her mood shifting gears. At that moment, she wanted to know what the Doctor was thinking, just as much he did her. “You want me to have, like a therapy session?” She asked in a fake timid voice.

His head tilted to the side as he watched her, she seemed to be arguing with herself and that slightly worried him. Her file would definitely be one of the first ones he reads. Keeping his arm behind her, just in case she lost her footing again.

Viktor watched as she went through the pain, hating the pleading in her eyes. He just wanted to know what was behind them. So his job could be easier for him. Frowning as she couldn’t put out the words. When she screamed again, he backed up a bit, giving her some room.

When she sat back up, he noticed that she didn’t seem as rigid as before. Her breathing much more calmer than before. He tilted his head, “Alright now?” He gave a small comforting smile, hoping she’d let him help now that she was more stable.

“He’s angry with me..” The words spilt from Millie’s lips before she could stop them. Tick. Tick. Tick. Clockwork was out raged, he said it over and over again until Millie covered her ears and screamed. “Tock! Tock! Tock!” He must have accepted her scream as an apology, because just as sudden as they had started, the voices cut off. She looked around frantic, seeing if he had started the hallucinations. None yet. Millie sighed in relief.

“Y-yes.” Her voice was barely above a whisper. Millie leaned against the wall to steady herself, she raised to her feet slowly. It was hard for her to stand, her knees were trembling a little. “I’ll be okay.” Her voice was still wary and frightened. She clutched her chest still, trying to breath more evenly.

He quietly shushed her, trying to be as comforting as he could as he took in the situation before him. She looked to be suffering some type of drug withdraw and then the fear in her eyes showed him that something was haunting her. “Millie, dear. I need you to breathe. Slow, deep breaths.”

He wanted to know what was going on in her head but he could wait, it’s easier when they’re calm. He never liked tears. Putting a hand on her shoulder, “Come now, love. It’ll be alright. You can talk to me.”

Millie tried to listen to him, but her breath was still horse and ragged. “I-I..” Words still failed to come out when she tried speaking to the Doctor. She turned her head to him, her eyes were still pleading, all she heard was screaming. She wanted to scream back, to runaway from them. But she had no where to go, escape was impossible.

Her eyes felt like they had sprung a leak, another sharp pain ripped through Millie. “Ugh!” She screamed again, nearly completely collapsing on the floor. It took several minutes before Millie could move again. After raising to her knees, she could manage normal breathing. The thoughts that belonged to her became easier to hear, but her stomach still felt twisted in a knot.

Viktor watched as she went through the pain, hating the pleading in her eyes. He just wanted to know what was behind them. So his job could be easier for him. Frowning as she couldn’t put out the words. When she screamed again, he backed up a bit, giving her some room.

Millie’s eyes snapped up in shock, tears still falling down her cheeks. She could feel where they left tiny wet streaks. “Huuuugh.” She huffed, her breathing was short and shaky. “Huuuugh.” She gasped once again. The wrenching pain had set fire to her stomach, Millie couldn’t think much less speak. Her body was shaking on it’s own now, frightened, she turned away from him a little.

Tick. Tick. Tick. “Tock. Tock. Tock.” Millie whispered, gasping between each word. Clockwork was taunting her, she had kept him at bay for days. Suddenly it all made sense, he was punishing her. Soon enough the hallucinations would be there, taunting her to. “Have mercy.” Her voice was pleading. Millie covered her face with her hands, new tears breaking through the barrier of her eyelids once again.

He quietly shushed her, trying to be as comforting as he could as he took in the situation before him. She looked to be suffering some type of drug withdraw and then the fear in her eyes showed him that something was haunting her. “Millie, dear. I need you to breathe. Slow, deep breaths.”

“Look at what you’ve done.” Asher’s voice was harsh and judgmental. “I didn’t mean to!” She yelled back, her voice shaking. Millie’s episode earlier was replaying over and over in her head. Why had she lost it so bad? Her mood swings were regularly out of hand, but today in particular they were magnified times twenty. She just wanted to get to her room, to sleep and forget everything.

Tick. It’s all your fault. Tick. Just give in. Tick. The voices were their right now. They were stronger and louder than ever. Screaming at her, angrily. As Millie moved through the halls of Kingston, she could barely keep herself from crying. She felt empty and alone in that moment, and she knew there was no one to blame but herself.

The thought set her over the edge, and as she got to a corner, she crouched down in it, leaning against one of the walls as her head bowed, the tears breaking passed the barrier of her eyelids. Millie held her chest, crateling it, as if it were about to cave in. “Stop!” She screamed in agony, her stomach wrenched from withdraw.

Viktor was walking down the hall, towards his office. He was still busy unpacking but had been distracted by his…welcome to this place. It had been interesting, to say the least. There were a few patients he wouldn’t mind seeing in his office soon. Wanting to know what made them…tick. It would eat away at him if he didn’t figure it out.

Hearing the girl scream and turning towards the sound, seeing the girl Millie in the corner. Walking over to her with a quick pace and crouching down in front of her. Just because he was slightly crazy, didn’t mean he couldn’t be concerned, that was partially why he wanted to be a doctor. To help people. “Hey. What is it, darling?” He hadn’t had a chance to read everyone’s files yet, so he didn’t know her conditions.
